1. Last On, First Off ! A good rule of thumb for long lasting jewellery is to wear it last, take it off first.This way you avoid getting in contact with make up products or perfume.

2. Good Storage is a secret !  To maintain the appearance of your jewellery and to reduce scratching, store items separately in sealed plastic bags. 

3. Avoid jewellery cleaner - Jewellery cleaners meant for gold and silver are very harsh on jewellery that is gold or rhodium plated. The plating surface may just wear off with time if these cleaners are used.

4. Make sure you remove your jewellery during doing dishes and laundry,going for a swim in chlorinated water,spa- all are damaging to your jewellery. 

5. Cleansing is the key! Sometimes your jewellery might get a grungy look. To remove dirt, oil , salts or acids clean them with a damp cotton ball or microfibre cloth. This will seamlessly remove any smudges and spots. Don't forget to air dry and buff them up with a microfibre cloth until all moisture is gone before storing.
